Project: Website Design/Build

Pearl’s Books

Pearl’s Books is a local book shop, started by a couple of avid readers who had dreamed of owning their own store for years. Their concept? Sell books, of course, but also be a space to gather, whether it was book club meetings, author readings, or a space to just read and relax. They had their location, ordered their inventory, and now all they needed was a stunning website.

Our Challenge

Pearl’s Books’ website was more than just an informational website – it was a community gathering space. Attending a local author signing? Check out their event calendar. Need to reserve space for your book club? Buy your club’s books AND reserve the room. Submitting a book review? Write it up and send it in. Concord Adam’s was able to build them a custom Squarespace that could do all this and more to allow Pearl’s to be engaged with their community and the local book store of their dreams.

Not everyone needs a custom build or even a custom WordPress theme. For many businesses, the low-overhead, and no-hosting headaches solutions provided by builders like Squarespace are more than enough to get off the ground without breaking the bank. It takes skill to design around the limitations of Squarespace and guide a brand to the design without “feeling” like Squarespace. Pearl’s Books is a great example of a brand that shines on this platform.

See it for yourself.
